Connective Tissue Massage is a form of therapy that involves massage of the tissues that surround and protect every organ and body part. It focuses on one level of connective tissue (fascia) at a time, restoring to normal each layer.  Connective Tissue Massage helps to restore elasticity, flexibility and normal length to the connective tissue, promoting general wellbeing and efficiency to the fascia.

This form of massage is helpful in gaining relief from arthritis, tendonitis, TMJ, sciatica, and can relieve chronic tension, whiplash, low back and neck pain, and even Multiple Sclerosis.  It aims to breakdown knots and scar tissue and improves blood circulation.  Connective Tissue Massage is used widely by athletes and dancers.  It is similar in style to Swedish Massage but concentrates on slower strokes with more intense pressure to warm the muscles and reach deeper into the Connective Tissue.

This form of massage is carried out as the client lays unclothed (except underpants) on a massage table, covered appropriately with a sheet or towel.
