Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a process that looks at the relationship between how we think (neuro), how we communicate verbally and non- verbally (linguistic) and our emotional and behavioural patterns (programmes). By learning from these relationships a person can consciously change the way they think and act, becoming more successful in everything they do, on both personal and professional levels (this is called Modelling). It teaches people to think, communicate and manage themselves and others more effectively.
NLP was co-founded by Richard Bandler and Linguist John Grinder in the 1970’s as a method of personal change and communications. The process is derived from a combination of Psychology, Linguistics, Cognitive Science and Occupational Therapy.
NLP is one of the most powerful skills used in sports coaching, sales, psychology, business management and personal development. It replaces negative thoughts, behaviours and habits with positive ones. It teaches you to understand and manage your behaviour for optimal results, as well as understand your needs and motivations and use them positively.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is extremely valuable for anyone interacting with others, both at home and at work. It teaches you to read a persons behaviour and language by not only listening to what a person is saying, but by taking notice of things like voice tone, gesture, facial expression, posture, and eye movements. It can help you to understanding the needs, motivations and behaviours of others including customers and staff.
It is a great process for creating positive change in your life. It gives you more choices about behaviours and emotions, enhances communication and relationships and develops new abilities in thinking. These are lasting life skills.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a very beneficial process for Business Professionals, Sales Representatives, Teachers, Counsellors and Therapists and for anybody wishing to create positive change in their life.
